I am a passionate and successful maths tutor, who has developed a life-long commitment to supporting young people in their maths education.

I offer small-group online GCSE and A-level maths programmes, and 1:1 tutoring.

These powerful, highly focused group teaching sessions allow all students to enhance their progress and improve on current grades. A key element in this is the detailed individual feedback each

student receives on completed tasks.

Studies show that small-group tutoring is especially effective for problem-solving skills and targeted skills-building. Students who participate in small group tutoring outperform their peers. On average students make four-months additional progress per academic year. Small-group tutoring empowers students by collaboratively addressing gaps in knowledge and building up a bank of key strategies which they can implement in their own learning.

Small group sessions run for 60 minutes and take place weekly during term time. Details of courses available can be found below.  Please contact me if you are interested in signing up your child for these courses.

"Before Rita came into my life, I felt at war with maths, but her approach and wisdom rapidly gave me the confidence to conquer maths homework and assessments. Rita introduced  me to quicker problem-solving methods and skills to boost up my marks for each of the questions but reduce the amount of time I needed to spend on each one. Without a doubt, Rita is a genius. Her content knowledge in maths is never-ending. She answered questions before I could ask them. 10/10 and I would absolutely, highly recommend to anyone who feels that maths is an impossibility."

"At the time my son started working with Rita, he was really lacking confidence in maths. Rita has taken the time to get to know him, understand his needs and work on the areas that he was weak on.  I have noticed a tremendous improvement not only in his grades but his confidence.

Now the GCSEs are over I feel truly sad that his tuition has come to an end because he always enjoyed going to see Rita. He looked forward to her lessons. If he had any issues with his work at school, he knew that he could take his problems to Rita and they would work through them.  My son started off his GCSEs having to sit the foundation paper but actually sat the higher which was a massive achievement in itself.

Thank you, Rita, for giving my son the care, attention and belief he needed to achieve this."

"My son and his friend attended a yr 6 into yr 7 transition course with Rita.

The boys found the course really helpful, and it raised their confidence, preparing them for yr7.

Rita is an inspiring and dedicated tutor who clearly has a passion for Maths. She prepared excellent lessons based on the boys learning style, with great communication skills."

"I highly recommend Rita as a Maths tutor, as she has worked wonders with my daughter. Upon starting secondary school, she had very little confidence in her ability in the subject and struggled with it generally. Rita not only gave her the learning and tools to significantly improve her grade - from a 4/5, to her most recent grade 8 attainment in GCSE, but has given her the confidence and brought an enjoyment to the subject - so much so, that she is now going to study A Level Maths! We cannot thank Rita enough and will be looking to continuing her tutoring at A Level."

Trinity School Sevenoaks (Year 11 student)

"I was a student who was scared by the prospect of Maths after struggling for many years throughout primary and my early years at secondary school. However, thanks to Rita's amazing teaching I achieved a grade 8 at GCSE and I am now hoping to take Maths further at A Level. Rita has not only boosted my grade but gave great advice and added information that helped me sit my exams and now I thoroughly enjoy Maths."
